Why we started
Working CISOs see firsthand what nonprofits face: real threats, real data exposure, and almost no budget for the expertise needed to handle either. ThreatBlock was founded to close that gap directly.
ThreatBlock is a 501(c)(3) cybersecurity consultancy. We give nonprofits and charities the expert security guidance they can't otherwise afford — so their teams can stay focused on their mission.
Working CISOs see firsthand what nonprofits face: real threats, real data exposure, and almost no budget for the expertise needed to handle either. ThreatBlock was founded to close that gap directly.
We're a consultancy, not a vendor. We don't sell software, take referral fees, or push tools you don't need. We give honest, practical guidance based on what your organization actually requires.
Nothing. Our work for qualifying nonprofits is funded by donated time from security professionals and direct contributions to ThreatBlock. We don't bill the organizations we serve.
A working board, not an honorary one. Each officer carries direct accountability for a function of the organization.

Sets strategic direction. Owns alignment between ThreatBlock's capabilities and the nonprofits we serve.

Owns finances. Ensures transparency in fund allocation, donor reporting, and IRS filings.

Owns daily operations. Coordinates engagements with the nonprofits we work with directly.
If your organization meets the eligibility criteria, the next step is a short application.
